Linnaeus University Växjö - The large auditorium

Finished 2011

We furnished the Great Auditorium at Linnaeus University for 350 seats with KS-401. The chairs are mounted in straight rows divided by two aisles. The metal is powder coated in dark gray. The wood is in lacquered birch plywood or solid birch. The chairs are equipped with a writing tablet with a laminate surface and with had rail in solid birch on top of the backrest. The chairs are upholstered with fire-retardant CMHR-tested cold foam and fabric in three shades. The underside of the seat is perforated to give the room extra sound absorption. The seat folds up with a built-in counterweight, stops against rubber-coated metal heels and has cushioning fittings when sitting in the chair. The hall has a front panel for writing tablets for the front row and space for a wheelchair. The architect is Eva Kellander.
